Wishing everyone Happy Chinese New Year and Kong Xi Fa Cai!

2009 was an exciting year for Athena where we’d completed the expansion into Hong Kong. To date, we have more than 10 travel agencies in HKG cut-over to Athena Bookings including Kuoni Travel.  We have also set-up a HKG local office to ensure our close support to our users. In Singapore we won the contract for ST Travel, making our first foray into a government-related agency that demands a high security functions in our products. ST Travel provides travel arrangement for Singapore government units in particular - Ministry of Defence staffs. The implementation has truly shown our capability in Athena Bookings workflow management. We have also extended our consultancy services to ST Travel to ensure their process meet stringent governance.

For the 2010 and near future, Athena is committed to R&D and we will be launching a suite of new products which will raise the productivity of GDS users and same time, ensure information flow within the agency organization.

Looking forward, technology plays a crucial role in the travel industry innovations and changes which may impact businesses and how travel agencies operate and interact. I certainly look forward in assisting our customers to ride these changes to be better and be ‘innovated’.
